Before his loss to Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor branded Jake Paul a ‘confused little kid’ when asked about the YouTuber’s call-out campaign.
It was the first time he had spoken about the bizarre stunts the young American YouTuber attempted in a bid to lure the Irish UFC sensation into a boxing fight.
Paul called out McGregor in a NSFW Instagram post in December. He said McGregor was scared to lose to a YouTuber since he’s 0-1 in the ring and Paul is 2-0.
His terms were eight three-minute rounds at 185 pounds.
McGregor said in an interview with BT Sport on Thursday “we’ll see what happens” in regards to the fight. He criticized Paul, calling him a “confused little kid,” and then seemed to back away from a potential fight by saying “it’s not on the radar at the minute.”
UFC president Dana White has dismissed the idea of a McGregor-Paul fight and instead suggested Paul fight UFC bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes.
“I’m thinking of letting Amanda Nunes knock his ass out,” White said.
Nunes is on board.
